Welcome to QSL Africa. These Terms & Conditions govern all shipping, logistics, transport, storage, tracking and related services provided by QSL Africa (“we, our, us”). By using our services or accessing our website, you (“the Client,” “Customer,” or “Consignee”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Shipment / Cargo / Package: Any item(s) accepted by QSL Africa for transport or handling.
- Shipper / Sender: The person or company delivering the shipment to us.
- Consignee / Receiver: The final recipient listed on the shipment.
- Tracking Number: A unique identification code assigned to each shipment for monitoring progress.
2. Acceptance of Service
By submitting goods to QSL Africa, the Client confirms that:
- They are the legal owner or authorized representative of the goods.
- The information provided during booking, including content, weight, value, and destination, is accurate.
- The item does not contain restricted or illegal contents.
We reserve the right to refuse, inspect, or halt any shipment suspected of containing prohibited items.
3. Prohibited & Restricted Goods
The Customer agrees NOT to ship items such as:
- Drugs, narcotics, or illegal substances
- Weapons, ammunition, or hazardous materials
- Currency, precious stones, gold bars, bonds, or negotiable instruments
- Perishable biological materials, live animals, or corpses
Some goods may require special clearance, permits, or documentation as per local and international regulations.
4. Customs, Duties & Compliance
All shipments are subject to customs inspection and clearance. QSL Africa is not responsible for:
- Customs delays
- Rejected items
- Government inspections
- Seizures due to false declarations
Any duties, penalties, fines, or additional customs charges must be paid by the Customer or Consignee.
5. Pricing & Payment
- Shipping costs are calculated based on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher.
- Payment must be received before dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Additional fees may apply for storage, customs handling, demurrage, rerouting, or failed delivery attempts.
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
6. Delivery & Transit Times
While we aim to meet estimated delivery times, all transit times are approximate and may vary due to:
- Customs clearance
- Weather conditions
- Operational delays
- Global shipping disruptions
We do not guarantee exact delivery dates unless a written guaranteed service has been purchased.
7. Tracking & Notification
Customers can track their shipment using a tracking number provided after registration.
Tracking updates may experience delays depending on operational or network availability.
8. Loss, Damage & Liability
Our liability is limited to the declared value or the industry-standard compensation unless additional insurance is purchased.
QSL Africa is NOT liable for:
- Damage caused by improper packaging
- Loss due to customs seizure
- Delay not caused by our negligence
- Fragile items without appropriate protection
If the Customer requires additional protection, optional shipment insurance must be purchased before dispatch.
9. Claims Policy
Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery date.
To process a claim, the Customer must provide:
- Tracking number
- Proof of shipment value
- Image/video proof of damage (if applicable)
Failure to comply may result in claim rejection.
10. Storage & Abandoned Goods
Shipments not collected within the storage timeline may incur:
- Daily storage charges
- Disposal or auction if unclaimed after 30 days, with no liability to the company
11. Amendments & Corrections
Address or shipment modifications may incur administrative fees and are subject to clearance and operational approval.
12. Website Use
By accessing our website, you agree not to:
- Tamper with tracking systems
- Misuse company data or intellectual property
- Conduct unauthorized access or fraud
13. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend, refuse, or terminate service without prior notice if the Customer:
- Uses the service for illegal purposes
- Violates customs regulations
- Provides false or misleading information
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable local and international transport laws, including:
- Air Waybill Regulations
- International Cargo Rules
- Host Country Commercial & Customs Laws
15. Acceptance of Terms
By shipping with QSL Africa, the Customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
